Syllabus of Preliminary Exam
The preliminary exam shall consists of objective type questions of 100 marks, out of which 90 marks will cover –
- General Knowledge
- Aptitude
- English
- Constitution of India
- Code of Civil Procedure
- Code of Criminal Procedure
- Transfer of Property
- Indian Contract Act
- Indian Penal Code
- Indian Evidence Act
- Law of Torts
and remaining of 10 marks to test the proficiency in the official language(s) of the State of Assam ( Assamese)
Syllabus for Main Written Exam
There are five papers in main written exam.
Paper I English 100 marks
- Essay
- Precis Writing
- Grammar etc.
Paper II : General Knowledge 100 Marks
- Objective Type
- Aptitude Test
Paper III Law Paper I 100 Marks
a. Constitution of India
b. Code of Civil Procedure
c. Transfer of Property Act
d. Indian Contract Act
Paper IV Law Paper II 100 Marks
- Indian Penal Code 1860
- Code of Criminal Procedure 1973
- Indian Evidence Act 1872
- Law of Torts
Paper V Paper to test proficiency in official languages in State of Assam 50 Marks.
This paper is to test the proficiency in official language of Assam. This paper is qualifying nature.
Interview
The interview / viva-voce will be of 50 marks
