Chhattisgarh Civil Judge exam Shall be conducted by CGPSC in three stages –
- Preliminary
- Mains and
- Interview
Preliminary exam Shall be conducted online. Question paper for preliminary exam shall be of 100 marks and will consist of 100 objective type questions. Each question will have four options for answer, out of which one will be correct.The preliminary exam shall be screening test to shortlist candidates for the main examination.
Syllabus of online preliminary exam
The online preliminary exam shall be of two hours consisting of 100 objective type questions from the following –

14 | The Negotiable Instruments Act, 1881 |
15 | The Chhattisgarh Excise Act, 1915 |
Main Examination [Written]
For main examination, the relatively more meritorious candidates from among those who appeared in preliminary exam in the ratio of 1: 10 having regard to the number of vacancies shall be called for final examination to be conducted which shall consist of :-
- Framing of issues and writing of judgement in civil cases – (Maximum Mark – 40)
- Framing of charges writing of judgement in criminal cases – ( Maximum Marks – 40)
- Translation – ( I) English to Hindi 10 Marks (II) Hindi to English 10 Marks
Viva-voce
Having regard to the number of vacancies relatively more meritorious candidates from among those who appeared in main exam shall be called in the ratio of 1:3 for the viva-voce. The maximum marks for viva-voce is 15.
